#1. Technical parameters: The technical parameters of the switch panel are unified as 10A/250V. You should pay attention to it, because this parameter is the same for each manufacturer. According to ergonomics, the installation height is between 1.2~1.4m, and 1.3m is recommended.

#2. Function: It is divided into single control and double control. Double control means that two switches control the same light; for example, there is a switch next to the bedroom door to turn on the light when entering the room, and there is also a switch at the bedside to turn off the light directly when sleeping. This is what dual control means. This switch is called a double control switch. It is different from a single control switch. It has one more terminal, but it cannot be seen from the surface. This switch is commonly used for lighting control in bedrooms and living rooms.

#3. Specifications: Divided into type 86, type 118 and type 120; type 86: the panel size is 86mm * 86mm, and the mounting hole spacing is 60mm. Type 118: refers to the panel size of 118mm * 75mm, the derivative products are 154mm * 75mm, 195mm * 75mm, and the mounting hole spacing is: 83.5mm, 121mm, 160.5mm. Type 120: refers to the panel size of 120mm * 70mm, and the mounting hole spacing: 83.5mm. It can be understood that type 86 is a standard product commonly used in the market; type 118 and 120 are DIY series and are preferred to be produced by custom switch manufacturers.

Type 86 products are available in every wall switch factory, but types 118 and 120 are not produced by electric switch socket manufacturers. Moreover, the product sizes of types 118 and 120 from each merchant will be slightly different and are not universal. The back box and panel must be electric switch socket manufacturers, losing the flexibility of decoration.

The 86-panel back box is universal among all electric switch socket manufacturers, so there is no need to consider incompatibility.

If you choose a 118 or 120 type switch panel and later want to build a smart home and transform it into a smart switch, you will need to remove the bottom box and reinstall the 86 bottom box. Because the smart switches currently on the market are all type 86.

Type 86 is preferred for home decoration. If you are willing to give up some flexibility in later modifications, you can choose some type 118 panels to replace some switches and sockets installed side by side.
